Preamble

Whereas, public defenders deserve a competitive salary compared to the SAO

Whereas, success in court should be rewarded in the OPD as well as the SAO

Article I – Amendment to the Office of Public Defenders Act

§1. Office of Public Defenders Act will be amended as follows:

 Article 4: Compensation
   §1.1. Public defenders shall be entitled to a bonus of twenty five (25) tau if their defendant receives less than the prosecution’s recommended sentence. 
   §1.2. Public defenders shall be entitled to a bonus of one hundred (100) tau if their defendant is found Not Guilty, in addition to the bonus from §1.1.

I, Senator Nf19_1, hereby present a motion to unfriendly amend the new Article 4, §1.1. of the Order of the Public Defenders Act that The Gloves Don't Fit Act, if the Presidential veto will be overturned, introduces through Article 1, §1. to read as follows:

 §1.1. Public defenders shall be entitled to a pecuniary bonus of fifty (50) tau if the Defendant they represent in Court recives less than the Prosecution's recommended sentence when they are found to be guilty.
