Artificial Intelligence Disclosure Act (AIDA)
Preamble
Whereas SimDemocracy has experienced a flood of works created by Artificial Intelligence.
Whereas it is in the public interest of SimDemocracy for posters of AI-generated works to disclose if works have been created by Artificial Intelligence.
Article 1: Definitions
§1. “Artificial Intelligence” or “AI” shall refer to any generative language or image model. Notable AIs include, but are not limited to, ChatGPT, Claude, Character.AI, and DeepSeek.
§2. “Work” shall refer to any product, whether visual, textual, video or auditory, which has been posted in either the SimDemocracy Subreddit or Discord server.
Article 2: Work Disclosure
§1. Any work which has been created using AI, in at least a significant part, must be disclosed as AI-generated.
§2. Disclosure shall be satisfied if the poster of such AI-generated work placed a robot emoji either in the work itself or in the caption adjacent to the work.
Article 3: Ineligibility for Office
§1. No candidate, reddit account, or discord account who solely or principally either relies or claims to rely upon Artificial Intelligence may be allowed to run for, or hold public office.
§2. If there is an account that is solely or principally run by artificial intelligence at the time of this bill passing the legislature, they will be immediately removed from office, and whatever system is in place to fill the specific vacancy will begin.
Article 4: Penalties for Nondisclosure
§1. Failure to disclose an AI-generated work as AI-generated shall incur an immediately enforceable fine of one hundred (100) tau.
§2. Any violator of this Act shall be entitled to appeal as afforded by the SimDemocracy Constitution.
Article 5: Implementation
§1. This Act shall take effect immediately after passage.
