Community Bridge Alliance Act

Preamble
Whereas SimDemocracy requires more consistent ways to garner new and productive members;
Whereas there are countless online communities who share similar interests who would work well with our nation;
Whereas more publicity for SimDemocracy will allow for unique opportunities we cannot fathom;
Article 1: Definitions
§1. “Partner communities” shall refer to online groups and forums that share common interests with SimDemocracy, but do not fall under the traditional polsim umbrella.
§2. “Outreach initiatives” shall refer to collaborative events, joint projects, digital exchanges, and cross community activities designed to engage new users.
Article 2: Purpose and Scope
§1. To establish official alliances between SimDemocracy and other various online communities.
§2. To create joint initiatives, events, and partnerships to foster cultural and intellectual exchange.
§3. This act only applies to online platforms, social networks, and civic forums that do not classify themselves as a polsim.
§4. All operations that fall under this act will be directed by the Department of Expansion.
Article 3: Leadership Structure
§1. The role Deputy Secretary of Alliances shall be created under the Department of Expansion.
§2. This new role shall follow the same format as all other Deputy Secretaries.
§3. The Deputy Secretary of Alliances shall serve at the pleasure of the Secretary of Expansion.
§4. The Deputy Secretary will manage all outreach initiatives with partner communities on behalf of SimDemocracy.
§ 4.1 The newly created Deputy Secretary of Alliances will work in coordination with the State Department upon first contact with new communities.
§5. After a short scout period, the length of which can be determined by the Secretaries of Expansion and State, the same Secretaries shall decide if that community is a good fit to be a partner community.
Article 4: Accountability and Transparency
§1. The Deputy Secretary of Alliances is mandated to publish weekly reports on any progress, upcoming events, new partnerships, or anything else the Secretary of Expansion deems necessary public knowledge.
§2. 1f a partnership is started with a community that the public does not agree with, a petition may be started to sever ties with said community.
- §2.1. The aforementioned petition must bear fifteen (15) unique signatures in order for it to be eligible for consideration by the Secretary of Expansion
Article 5: Implementation
§1. This act shall come into effect seven (7) days after it passes the Senate.
