EO 145-04 Government Efficiency Committee

Whereas a comprehensive and well thought out purge of government waste is necessary to lower the budget and get the government on the right track and allow for the BFO to have an easier job in the future, the GEC shall be created to manage this,

§1 An executive committee shall exist under the office of the President known as the Government Efficiency Committee (GEC) which shall focus on making decisions to reduce waste in government spending, increase government efficiency, and cut down on the budget through one large purge of government waste.

§2 The GEC shall publicly announce every change they introduce to cut down government waste, where such announcements won’t be a detriment to national security.

§3 The Government Efficiency Committee shall only exist during the 145th Presidential Term and, if it is not disbanded sooner, shall be disbanded at the end of the term.

§4. The Government Efficiency Committee shall include the President, Vice President, Chief of Staff, the Director of the BFO, Director of Government Efficiency, and anyone else deemed that the President deems necessary for operations.

§5. The Director of Government Efficiency (or DOGE) shall be a new temporary position appointed by the President who shall have access to most of the executive Department’s channels, projects, and documents. They shall be responsible for making suggestions to cut down government waste, informing the public on each change made by the GEC as they happen, and they shall larp as an Elon Musk-esque figure.
§5.1. The DOGE shall not be able to see the following channels: Any of the private DoVR channels, any private DoJ channels that contain classified information pertaining to ongoing investigations.
§6. The DOGE shall have access to all documents and information needed to complete their job, including budget sheets.
