EO 145-07 Rule Channel

Whereas this would be useful for new members to be aware of common crimes without having to read the entire criminal code;
§1. A channel shall be created called # rules which shall be viewable to all members of the server.
- §1.1. This channel shall be placed in the infos category, above official-announcements.
§2. The channel shall contain a message which states the following:
SimDemocracy, being a nation, has laws and penalties for violating those laws. Our entire Criminal Code can be found here.
However, here are some notable crimes to refrain from violating:
- 1. Violating the Discord Community Guidelines is a crime.
- 2. Hate speech is a crime. This includes the use of slurs or bigotry of any kind.
- 3. Posting obscene materials is a crime. This includes content which consists of gore, violence, or other materials not suitable for viewing in a public place, and would cause distress to a reasonable person.
- 4. Threatening people is a crime.
- 5. Harassment is a crime.
- 6. Doxxing or violation of someone’s personal privacy or information is a crime.
- 7. The use of alt accounts to gain any unfair advantage or undermine democracy in any way is a crime.
- 8. Spamming is a crime.
- 9. Brigading and raiding is a crime.
Be sure to check the criminal code for all the other crimes! Please remember that any member who commits a crime listed above, or in the criminal code, is prosecutable in court. The punishments for committing crimes vary.
If you see someone commit a crime, be sure to report it in # the-station.

§3. As part of the server onboarding process, new joins must view the # rules channel.
