Whereas the people crave quality journalism,

Whereas many people are interested in the prospect of a state run news agency,

Whereas this will help generate activity,

Whereas this will provide jobs and stimulation to the economy,

§1. The SimDem State Press shall be a state-owned corporation under the Department of the Treasury pursuant to the Executive Departments Act 2025 Article 7 §4.1.

§2. The SimDem State Press (SDSP) shall be run by a Chairman of the Press appointed by the President.

§3. The Chairman of the Press shall have executive authority within the SDSP to manage the affairs of the agency.

§4. The Censor board of the SDSP shall consist of 3 members:

a) A legal representative, appointed by the Attorney General

b) A representative of the SDIOA, appointed by the Ombudsman; and

c) The Chairman of the SDSP.

§5. Only Articles approved by a member of the Oversight Board may be published on behalf of the SDSP.

§6. Articles may have their SDSP publication status revoked by the consent of all 3 members of the Oversight Board.

§7. The SDSP shall pay contributors 5 tau per 100 words that are published by the SDSP.

§7.1. This means employees of the SDSP shall not be entitled to a regular wage but rather compensation per article.

§8. Compensated articles may only be between 1000 and 2500 words.
