Give the Kids a Shot Amendment 2025

Ratified on 20 April 2025.

Preamble

Whereas Supreme Court Justices often have to recuse from cases,

Whereas we used to have a good system for this, but it was at some point removed,

Believing that reinstating the system would be beneficial to the court,

Recognizing that such a system also gives Supreme Court experience to other judges,

I, Justice Ivy Cactus, hereby propose the following amendment to the Constitution of SimDemocracy:

Section 1: Constitutional Amendment

§1. The following section is to be inserted into Article 11: Supreme Court of the Constitution:

§1.1. If the Supreme Court has less than 3 members for a case, due to recusal, vacancy, or otherwise, the Chief Justice may select an Inferior Court Judge to serve on the court as Acting Justice for the duration of the case.
