Jobs Marketplace Act

Preamble

Whereas
there is a need for a structured and transparent system for job postings and advertisements within SimDemocracy;
Whereas
a centralized platform for economic activity will enhance accessibility, efficiency, and fair trade among citizens;
Whereas
clear regulations and oversight are necessary to ensure proper functionality and fairness of the marketplace;

Article 1: Title

§1. This act shall be known as the “Jobs Marketplace Act.”

Article 2: Definitions

§2. Jobs Board: A digital platform where SimDem citizens can post and find job opportunities.

§2.1. Marketplace Moderator: An employee or contractor of the Department of the Economy responsible for enforcing rules and removing violations in the marketplace channels.

Article 3: Establishment of Common Marketplace

§3. The Department of the Economy shall create a channel called “Jobs Board” under the economy tab on Discord.

§3.1 The Jobs Board channel shall be organized as a forum and posts shall be removed by a moderator if the job post is inactive or discontinued.

Article 4: Jobs Board Channel

§4. Any SimDem citizen can post a job offering in the Jobs Board channel.

§4.1. Job postings shall include: Job title, Job description, and Pay
§4.2. The Department of the Economy shall assign, employ, or contract a moderator for the channel to ensure adherence to rules and remove unrelated or violating content.

Article 5: Implementation

§5. This Act shall take effect fourteen (14) days after passage.

§5.1. Future amendments shall require Senate approval.
