Leadership Responsibility Act Amendment 2025

Preamble

Whereas: The current language within the Leadership Responsibility Act technically excludes Senatorial elections from participating in the intent of the act;

Whereas: The Elections Supervisor has utilized the Act for Senatorial elections anyway;

Therefore: This amendment aims to fix the law without changing how the Elections Supervisor attends to Senatorial elections.

Article 1

§1. Article 4 §5 of the Leadership Responsibility Act shall be amended to say,

    “Any person who fills out a Call for Candidates shall declare all the foreign positions they and their running partner, if they have one, hold within the Call for Candidates, or provide a declaration that they do not hold any foreign positions.”
