MICA 2024 Removal Act

Preamable
- Whereas
- MICA 2024 is out of date and should have been repealed ages ago, it shall now be repealed.
Article 1: Repeal of MICA
§1. The Military Instatement and Creation Act 2024 shall be repealed in its entirety.
Article 2: Miscellaneous Changes
§1. The SDAF Act 2025 shall have a new article added to it:
Article 9: Awards and Medals
§1. A war veteran shall be any person that served in an active capacity during a time of war.
§2. The senate shall have the power to create and authorize medals and awards to be granted to military members upon eligibility or nomination.
§3. The Secretary of Defense may nominate any past or present service member
§3.1. Nominations for awards and medals shall be confirmed by a majority vote in the Senate or other body as delegated in the creation of said award.
§4. SDAF members may only display medals and awards they have been granted.
§5. A SDAF Medal of Valor shall be created, granted to those who serve with Valor and Distinction in an active conflict
§6. A SDAF VoD Liberation Medal shall be created, granted to those who served during Operation False Guillotine
§7. A SDAF Meritorious Command Medal Shall be created, granted to those who show exceptional leadership in their duties.
- §1.1. The article numbering in SDAF Act 2025 shall be changed to reflect the changes within this act.
§2. Article 6 clause §1.2. of the SDAF Act 2025 shall be replaced with the following:
§1.2. Service members in the Reserves may be placed into Active-duty by the Secretary of Defense and will be assigned duties or missions to work on. They will begin to be paid salary pay on the next payday.
§3. Article 7 of the SDAF Act 2025 shall be stricken in its entirety and replaced with the following:

§1. The SimDem Armed Forces will now be optionally tasked with creating pro-SimDemocracy pieces of media during times of peace.
§1.1. Pro-SimDemocracy pieces of media can include music, posters, physical or digital art pieces, videos, poems, stories, websites, or games that paint SimDemocracy in a positive light or represent national pride as deemed by the Secretary of Defense.
§1.2. If they have extra funds, the Secretary of Defense may issue a voluntary call for all reserve or active-duty members to make Pro-SimDemocracy media, and compensate those who do based on available funds or rewards and the quality of their work.
§1.3. The Secretary of Defense may also order active-duty members to create pro-SimDemocracy media.
§4. The clause §7.2 shall be added to Article 4 of the SDAF Act 2025. This clause shall state:
§7.2. The SDAF may work as a civil service presence in the minecraft server, assisting its government at the discretion of the Secretary of Defense.
