Minecraft Gubernatorial Cabinet Act 2025

Passed by the Assembly on 19 July 2025.

Regarding the line of succession, please see Article IX§2 of the Minecraft Colony Charter Act.

Part 1 - Positions

Article 1 - the Deputy Governor

§1. The Deputy Governor is to be appointed by the Governor to act as their replacement should the governor not be available.

§2. If the governor is unavailable, the Deputy Governor has all of the powers and responsibilities of the governor.

§2.1. During this time, the Deputy Governor will be the Acting Governor.

§3. If the Governor is inactive for five or more days, the Deputy Governor will become the Acting Governor until the Governor returns.

Article 2 - the District Attorney

§1. The District Attorney will be responsible for representing the colonial government in court cases.

§2. The District Attorney shall be in charge of the Colonial Police Force.

Article 3 - The Chief of Police

§1. The Chief of Police shall run the Colonial Police Force.

§2. The Colonial Police Force shall be responsible for enforcing the law on the server.

§3. The Chief of Police can be appointed and fired by the District Attorney.

§4. The Chief of Police may request SDAF assistance if necessary.

Article 4 - Events Organizer

§1. The Events Organizer is responsible for running public events on the server.

§2. The Events Organizer may request materials and command permissions from the Governor as needed.

§3. The Events Organizer is to hold regular events in order to maintain server activity.

Article 5 - Head of Public Works

§1. The Head of Public Works is to oversee infrastructure projects on the server.

§2. The Head of Public Works is to maintain road systems, government buildings, protected areas, etc.

§3. The Head of Public Works may request SDAF support if necessary.

Article 6 - Secretary of Player Registration

§1. The Secretary of Player Registration is tasked with maintaining and updating a public registry of all players on the server in accordance with the Minecraft Legislative Establishment Act.

Part 2 - Appointment and Dismissal

Article 7 - Appointment

§1. All positions in this act, besides the Chief of Police, are to be appointed by the Governor.

§2. All appointments made by the Governor or the District Attorney must be approved by the Assembly.

§3. The exception to these is the Deputy Governor, who can be appointed without approval so long as they were included in the Governor’s cfc.

§4. If no one is appointed to a position, the Governor may either do that job themselves or delegate it to the Deputy Governor.

Article 8 - Dismissal

§1. All positions can be dismissed by the Governor at any point.

§2. The Chief of Police can be dismissed by the Governor, or by the District Attorney.

§3. Any position in this act can be impeached by the Assembly with a ⅔ vote.

Part 3 - Line of Succession

Article 9 - The Line of Succession

§1. Should the governor resign, the line of Succession will go in this order:

  1. The Deputy Governor
  2. The Speaker of the Assembly
  3. The Head of Public Works
  4. The District Attorney
  5. The Events Organizer
  6. The Secretary of Voter Registration

§2. People may freely reject becoming the Acting Governor.

§3. If no one in the line of succession is able or willing to become the governor, an election is to be held by the end of the week.
