Preamble

Whereas the OHS has lost its purpose recently

Recognising that the OHS has been reduced to a border application reviewing agency

Understanding that it would probably be better for it to be merged into the SDBI

Article 1 - Changes to the Executive Departments Act 2025

§1 Article 3§2 of the Executive Departments Act 2025 shall be amended to:

“§2. The DoJ shall have within itself two agencies: The SimDemocracy Bureau of Investigation (SDBI), the Office of Homeland Security (OHS), and the State Attorneys’ Office (SAO); each led by a Director appointed by and serving at the pleasure of the AG.”

Explanatory Note 1: removes the OHS as an agency in the DoJ

§2 The following shall be added to Article 3§3 of the Executive Departments Act 2025:

Ҥ3.1 The OHS shall be a special investigative body within the SDBI to investigate violations of law by those who have been a member of the SimDemocracy for seven days or fewer, or those determined to be involved in committing, conspiring to commit, or planning to commit hostile foreign action against SimDemocracy based on reasonable articulable suspicion.
§3.1.1 The term “hostile foreign action” shall be defined as foreign organizations or groups involved in actions, behaviors, or communications that indicate a desire, willingness, or intention to disrupt, hurt, or delay the regular activities of SimDemocracy.
§3.1.2 Should a border be created restricting passage into the SimDemocracy Discord Server, the OHS shall have the power to allow individuals to pass the border in accordance with internal policy.”

Explanatory Note 2: makes the OHS a specialised investigative body within the SDBI

§3 Article 3§4 of the Executive Departments Act 2025 along with its subparts shall be repealed on the passing of this act.

Explanatory Note 3: removes the current OHS stuff from the Executive Departments Act
