Preamble

Whereas, there’s no specified way to determine party membership,

THE SENATE OF SIMDEMOCRACY PROCLAIMS

Article 1 \- Party Membership

§1. The following sections shall be added to the “Article 4: Party membership” of the Political Parties and Communities Act 2023:

“§X. Party membership shall be determined by a person’s discord role, or their reddit flair. If a person does not have either, they shall be considered an independent.

§X.1. Political parties who wish to control new members joining the party, may request their party to be taken off the self assignment list on Discord and may ask that Reddit flairs not be counted as membership for their party.

§X. For any political parties not controlling new members joining their party, SimDemocracy shall keep a list of expelled members to ensure clarity on membership.

§X.1. This list shall be either kept by the party and shared with SimDemocracy, or all expellations shall be done in a designated public place in the SimDem discord server for easy tracking by SimDemocracy.

§X.2. This list shall override party affiliations for persons.

§X. To ensure one person cannot be a member of more than one party, their newest active party membership shall override the rest of their memberships.”
