Presidential Succession Amendment

Preamble

Whereas multiple Presidential Succession Clauses are present that are inconsistent with the Constitution of Simdemocracy;

Whereas §7 of Article 7 of the Constitution is outdated and in need of revitalization;

Hereby enacts the following into law:

Presidential Succession Amendment

Section 1:

§1. Repeals and strikes out Article 2: Presidential Succession of Part 1: The President, and Schedule 1: Presidential line of succession of Part 3: Schedules of the Executive Act

§2. Repeals and strikes out Article 2: Presidential Succession of Part 1: The President, and Schedule 1: Presidential line of succession of Part 3: Schedules of the Statute Revision Act

Section 2:

§1. Amends from §7. to §7.14. of Article 7: Presidential Succession and Incapacity in the Constitution to read the following:

Ҥ7. In the event of temporary or permanent incapacity, the following line of succession shall determine who assumes the duties or office of the President;

§7.1. Vice President,

§7.2. Speaker of the Senate,

§7.3. Executive Officers in order of seniority,

§7.4. Senators, in order of placement in the last Senate election,

§7.5 Supreme Court Justices, in order of seniority,

§7.6. Judges, in order of seniority,

§7.7. Discord Supervisor,

§7.8. Reddit Supervisor.”
