Submitted to:

  • The Minecraft Governor of Voices of Democracy & The VoD Legislative Assembly
  • The SimDem Senate & SimDem Minecraft Assembly

Project Name: Minecraft Merger

Section 1 – Executive Summary

This proposal outlines a plan to merge the VoDcraft server into the Strix SMP, forming a unified but multi-sovereign Minecraft environment.

The merger provides:

§1.1. a more populated world,

§1.2. better server performance,

§1.3. independent territories for both SimDem and VoD,

§1.4. no loss of builds or progress,

§1.5. shared events and collaboration possibilities.

This is not an absorption, it is a multiplayer expansion, strengthening both communities while respecting their autonomy.

Section 2 – Purpose of the Merger

§2.1. For VoDcraft:

§2.1.1. access to a stable server
§2.1.2. larger world (1M+ blocks) with a lot of land
§2.1.3. ability to keep sovereignty over their territories and laws
§2.1.4. support for transferring existing builds
§2.1.5. increased community activity
§2.1.6. collaboration events
§2.1.7. Java & Bedrock compatibility

§2.2. For SimDemocracy:

§2.2.1. ending low-population isolation
§2.2.2. fostering stronger ties with VoD
§2.2.3. encouraging healthy political, economic, and social gameplay
§2.2.4. expanding the server’s diversity

§2.3. For Both:

§2.3.1. stronger ties between two polsim communities
§2.3.2. shared events
§2.3.3. more active diplomacy
§2.3.4. rich multiplayer lore and economies

Section 3 – Governance Framework

To prevent political absorption or forced unification, the merger follows an Independent Territorial Model.

§3.1. Sovereignty

§3.1.1. VoD territories remain fully sovereign, under the authority of the VoD Minecraft Governor.
§3.1.2. SimDem territories remain sovereign under the SimDem Minecraft Governor.
§3.1.3. Both sets of players must follow the laws of the territory they currently stand in.

§3.2. Territory Distance Clause

To prevent border disputes, the following rule applies:

§3.2.1. No new settlement may be founded within a 200-block radius of an existing recognized settlement.

§3.3. Equal Status

§3.3.1. VoD Governor becomes an equal counterpart to the SimDem Governor.
§3.3.2. Both maintain full authority within their respective jurisdictions.
§3.3.3. No automatic legislative cross-over.

Section 4 – Server Environment & Technical Stability

§4.1. Strix SMP Version

§4.1.1. Minecraft 1.21.5, stable, with active admins.

§4.2. World Scale

§4.2.1. Over 1,000,000 blocks in radius from spawn, providing limitless space.

§4.3. Performance

§4.3.1. Capable of supporting 20+ players simultaneously without disruption.
§4.3.2. The merger aims to bring VoDcraft’s ~20 players into a stable existing ecosystem.

Section 5 – Build Preservation Guarantee (Litematica Transfer)

To address concerns regarding lost progress:

§5.1. Any VoD player who wishes to preserve their existing builds may request a Litematica-assisted structure transfer into the Strix SMP world.

§5.2. This allows their builds to be copied and reconstructed safely within new VoD territories, with staff coordination.

§5.3. No player loses their creations.

Section 6 – Player Migration Guidelines

§6.1. Player Inventories

§6.1.1. Inventories will not be transferred.
§6.1.2. However, a Welcome Kit (Section 7) partially compensates for this.

§6.2. Ranks

§6.2.1. VoD ranks remain valid within VoD territories.
§6.2.2. Strix SMP does not interfere with VoD’s internal rank system.

§6.3. Currency

§6.3.1. No forced currency integration.
§6.3.2. VoD may keep its own currency inside its territory.
§6.3.3. The general server economy remains trade-based (ores, blocks, bartering).

§6.4. Land Selection

§6.4.1. VoD players may choose new land freely.
§6.4.2. They are not placed inside SimDem cities unless they choose to and agree to SimDem laws.

Section 7 – Welcome Package for Each VoD Player

Every player migrating from VoDcraft will receive:

§7.1. “VoD Settler Kit” (Per Player)

§7.1.1. Full Iron Armor
§7.1.2. Full Iron Tools (Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, Sword, Hoe)
§7.1.3. Item Bundle (food, 1 stack torches)
§7.1.4. Totem of Undying

This ensures all new players start off decently.

§8.2. Day 1–14: Optional Litematica build transfers

§8.3. Day 1–14: Welcome Kits distribution

§8.5. After Day 14: Full independence of VoD territories, laws, and governance confirmed

Section 9 – Community & Cultural Integration

We acknowledge VoD players may feel friendly-but-skeptical.

Therefore, we emphasize:

§9.1.2. no forced assimilation,

VoD players gain a stable and vibrant home.

Strix SMP gains new allies, neighbors, and friends.

Together, we build a shared universe with room for all.
