Reinforcing SimDem Security Act 2026

Passed 21 April 2026 and signed 23 April 2026.

Role security in department servers shouldn’t be overlooked

Article 1: Deal With The Roles

§1. At the commencement of each presidential term, the Vice President shall conduct a review of all departmental servers and the main SimDemocracy server. This review must confirm that every individual possesses only the roles they are legally entitled to and that all unauthorized roles are removed.

§1.1. The Vice President may delegate this task to the Chief of Staff, an SDIOA Ombudsman, an SDIOA Employee, or a Special Investigator to review on their behalf. However, the Vice President is responsible for ensuring this review is completed.

Article 2: Deal With The Channels

§1. The Vice President shall investigate departmental and the main SimDemocracy server channel permissions to ensure access is restricted to authorized personnel. This process shall be conducted with the cooperation of the respective Department Secretary. Furthermore, the Vice President shall work to identify and limit unnecessary channel access.

§1.1. The Vice President may appoint the Chief of Staff, an SDIOA Ombudsman, an SDIOA Employee, or a Special Investigator to carry out these investigations. However, the Vice President is responsible for ensuring this review is completed.

Article 3: Implementation

§1. When this act passes, the Vice President shall be expected to carry out the responsibilities detailed in Articles 1 and 2 as if it were a new presidential term.

§1.1. The Executive shall provide a report that need not be more than a summary of what issues were discovered when the Vice President completes Article 1, §1.

§2. The Senate retains the right to request a report summarizing the findings of the Vice President’s review for any presidential term.

§3. For only the Department of Justice, the Vice President may delegate the review to the Attorney General for the responsibilities detailed in Articles 1 and 2.
