The Revised Job-Finder Act 2025

Article 1: Short Title
This Act shall be known and cited as the "Revised Job-Finder Act 2025”
Article 2: Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to help rotate more tau, whilst also helping unemployed individuals find employment.
Article 3: Definitions
For the purposes of this Act, the following terms are defined as:
§1. Eligible Individual: Any citizen of SimDemocracy that is not employed in the private sector, and thus is not earning a weekly salary
§2. Job-Finder Program: A program established under this Act to provide eligible individuals with funds to seek employment
§3. Administering Agency: The governmental department or agency designated to oversee and implement the provisions of this Act.
Article 4: Program
§1. Eligibility Criteria: a. To qualify for the program, an individual must:
- i. Be a registered voter of SimDemocracy.
- ii. Be unemployed.
- iii. Submit proof of income and employment status to the Administering Agency.
- iv. Not have used the benefits of this act in the past six (6) months
§2. Job-Finder Formula: a. The government shall provide a payment equal to 50% of the funds required to keep a user posting on the jobs-search-board for two (2) weeks.
§3. Payment Process: a. Payments shall be disbursed weekly to eligible individuals via direct deposit to registered private accounts.
Article 5: Funding and Budget Allocation
§1. The initial funding for the program shall be allocated from the Government Reserve.
§2. Monthly reviews shall be conducted by the Administering Agency to assess the program’s fiscal impact and recommend adjustments as necessary.
Article 6: Reporting and Oversight
§1. The Administering Agency shall submit monthly reports to the SimDemocracy Legislature detailing program participation, financial expenditures, and any instances of fraud or misuse.
Article 7: Penalties for Fraud
§1. Any individual or entity found to have provided false information to obtain job-finder payments shall be:
- a. Subject to repayment of 120% of all improperly obtained funds.
- b. Referred for criminal prosecution under applicable laws.
§2. If an individual or entity believes they have been falsely accused of fraud, they can appeal by submitting correct information that proves their lack of current employment.
Article 8: Effective Date
This Act shall take effect immediately after being passed.
