Preamble

Whereas: nobody wants to work for the OPD;
Whereas: the pay sucks

Article 1 - Meaty Stuff

Article 4, §1 of the Office of Public Defenders Act shall be amended from:

Ҥ1. Public Defenders shall be entitled to a fixed remuneration of one hundred fifty (150) tau per case, payable from the funds allocated to the Bar Association.

§1.1. Public defenders shall be entitled to a pecuniary bonus of fifty (50) tau if the Defendant they represent in Court recives less than the Prosecution's recommended sentence when they are found to be guilty.

§1.2. Public defenders shall be entitled to a bonus of one hundred (100) tau if their defendant is found Not Guilty, in addition to the bonus from §1.1.

§1.3. Public defenders shall be entitled to a bonus of one hundred (100) tau if the case is dropped.”

to:

Ҥ1. Public Defenders shall be entitled to a fixed remuneration of three hundred (300) tau per case, payable from the funds allocated to the Bar Association.

§1.1. Public defenders shall be entitled to a pecuniary bonus of one hundred (100) tau if the Defendant they represent in Court receives less than the Prosecution's recommended sentence when they are found to be guilty.

§1.2. Public defenders shall be entitled to a bonus of two hundred (200) tau if their defendant is found Not Guilty, in addition to the bonus from §1.1.

§1.3. Public defenders shall be entitled to a bonus of one hundred (100) tau if the case is dropped.”
