War On Terror Service Recognition Act 2025

Preamble

WHEREAS the war on terror is coming to a close

WHEREAS heroes of the war on terror ought to be recognized for the risk, sacrifice, and service they undertook in the name of SimDemocracy

Article 1. Recognition

§1. The War on Terror Service Medal (WOTSM) shall be established to honor and recognize the key figures involved in the War on Terror, who directly put their livelihoods on the line for SimDemocracy in the fight against Golden Consciousness, the Proletarian Unity Party, and the Traditionalist Insurgency for Defense and Enforcement.

§2. Personnel who performed service in the following agencies for more than fifteen (15) days who were directly involved in counter terror operations shall qualify for this Medal

(a) The Office of Homeland Security
(b) The SimDem Bureau of Investigation
(c) The State Attorney's Office or
(d) Attorney General’s Office
§2.1 Only service between January 27th, 2025, to December 17th, 2025, shall be eligible to receive this medal

§3. The War on Terror Service Medal with Distinction shall be awarded to individuals who meet the requirements for the WOTSM as well as;

§3.1. Served in a position of increased responsibility, and/or leadership or,
§3.2. Performed exceptional service in operations directly against GC, PUP, and/or TIDE

Article 2. Administration

§1. A person shall receive the War on Terror Service Medal upon being

(a) Affirmed as having met the requirements by the Attorney General of SimDemocracy

§2. A person shall receive the War on Terror Service Medal with Distinction upon being

(a) Affirmed as having met the requirements by the Attorney General of SimDemocracy and
(b) Nomination by the President of SimDemocracy

Article 3. Post Nominal Authorization

§1. An Individual awarded the War on Terror Service Medal shall be authorized to use “WTS” as a post-nominal

§2. An Individual awarded the War on Terror Service Medal with Distinction shall be authorized to use “WTS-D” as a post-nominal
