Preamble

police brutality isn’t the right word for it

Article 1

§1. Article 26 of the Criminal Code 2020 shall be amended to say, “Wrongful Arrest”

§2. Article 26 §1. of the Criminal Code 2020 shall be amended to say, “A law enforcement officer, or a person empowered to exercise such powers, commits the offence of wrongful arrest if they:”

§3. Article 26 §2. of the Criminal Code 2020 shall be amended to say, “A person commits the offence of wrongful arrest if they arrest or detain a person without authorization by law.”

§4. Article 23 §1.1. of the Criminal Code 2020 shall be amended to say, “Using one’s position to argue against or deny the arrest of a person in an attempt to avoid a perceived case of wrongful arrest shall not constitute resisting arrest”
