Titling

§1. This act shall be referred to as “The Court Case Formating Act”, “Court Case Formating Act”, or “CCFA”.

This act will serve as an amendment to the Another Court Improvement Act 2025. The following should be added to the said act:

    Article 3: Formatting Guidelines
§1. Any Criminal Complaints, Civil Complaints, or Supreme Court filings (collectively referred to as “complaint” or “complaints”) placed in the “court-case-request” channel must meet the guidelines outlined below.
§1.1. The complaint should be a single file, in a human readable format.
§1.2. The complaint should be accessible to everyone. (e.g. view perms on Google Docs)
§1.3. The text/information in the complaint should be legible without difficulty.
§1.4. The text/information in the complaint should be of reasonable size, without the need of excessive zooming in or out.
    Article 4: Enforcement
§1. The Court Registrar may reject improperly formatted cases and decline to assign a judge or not put the complaint on the docket until the defects have been cured.
§2. In order to properly execute this act, the Court Registrar shall be granted appropriate permissions to enforce this legislation.
§3. In order to maintain clarity in the channel, unrelated conversation or otherwise extraneous messages may be deleted from the “court-case-request” channel by the Court Registrar with the concurrence of a Judge or Justice, or by a Judge or Justice with the concurrence of another. These messages should be placed within the appropriate channels. (e.g. the “court-general” channel.)
    Article 5: Exceptions
§1. If classified information is present in the complaint then a redacted copy may be submitted to be seen by everyone/the public.
§2. Emergency complaints regarding important matters may be submitted without proper formatting, though a properly formatted version must be submitted within 24 hours of the improperly formatted version.
§3. A link to a Google Doc or other document viewing services are considered a “single file”.
