Consul Act 2026

Passed by the Assembly on 30 January 2026.

Whereas no gubernatorial election was held due to a lack of candidates,

Whereas procedures must be made for when no one runs for governor,

Therefore the following is passed into law.

Article 1, the Consul

§1. When no Governor is elected, the Speaker of the Assembly will be given the title of Consul.

§1.1 The Consul shall continue to hold the office of Speaker.

§2. The Consul shall hold all the powers and duties of the Governor until a new Governor is elected.

§3. The Consul will immediately lose their position upon losing the Speakership.

§3.1. The new Speaker will immediately become Consul upon taking the office of Speaker.

Article 2, a New Governor

§1. The Consul loses the title immediately upon the election of a new governor.

§2. Under no circumstances can a Consul maintain that position or the powers that come with it when someone holds the position of Governor.

§3. If a Governor resigns, but a Governor was elected in the last election, refer to the Minecraft Gubernatorial Cabinet 2025 for instructions on what to do instead of this act.
