Part 1: National Iconography
Article 1: Official Heraldry
§1. The official heraldry of SimDemococracy (and derivatives therein) shall constitute the means via which SimDemocracy ordinarily represents itself in any official capacity. This expression includes formal communications, warfare, international agreements, on platforms which do not constitute territories, and otherwise.
- §1.1. This section shall not be construed to prevent the State of SimDemocracy from changing its appearance within its territories due to special events or otherwise.
§2. Governmental entities may maintain and utilize their own seals, logos, and other symbolism for communications within and from the entity.
- §2.1. This section shall not apply to the Department of State in communications with other nations or communities, which must use SimDemocracy’s official heraldry under Section 1.
- §2.2. Government entities may submit these symbols to the Archives Commission, who shall append the symbols to the appendix of this act for documentation purposes.
§3. The official colors of SimDemocracy shall be narrow navy (#163248) (herein known as “SimDemocracy Navy”) and gold (#E4C844) (herein known as “SimDemocracy Gold”). Light grey (#5F5F5F) and dark grey (#3F3F3F) shall be used as tertiary colors.
§2. The National Seal of SimDemocracy shall be a light grey circle with: a SimDemocracy gold corded bordure of 84 segments, two SimDemocracy Navy bands--the inner thinner than the outer--line the inside of the circle, a laurel wreath semi-circle with fourteen pairs of leaves and one single end leaf on each hemisphere around a dark grey escutcheon with an elevated middle chief and rounded middle base--the center of which is occupied by a black (#000000) upper-right-facing Lycaon Pictus (Painted Wolf) and a light grey inner bordure.

§3. The National Flag of SimDemocracy shall be SimDemocracy Gold Nordic cross on a SimDemocracy Navy field, with the National Seal of SimDemocracy, defined in Section 2, emblazoned on the junction.

§4. An official pride version of the seal, with the colors replaced with rainbows, shall be an appropriate alternative logo. It shall be the primary way SimDemocracy expresses itself internally during the month of June, subject to Section §1.1.

Article 2: National Music and Mottos
§1. The national music and mottos of SimDemocracy shall be used in communications from the State of SimDemocracy, in audio and text form respectively.
§2. The formal official anthem of SimDemocracy shall be “Democracy’s Triumph” and shall be used in formal events or ceremonies.

§3. The informal official anthem of SimDemocracy shall be “Stand Up Damned of Reddit” and will be informally used within casual events and gatherings.

§4. The official mottos of SimDemocracy shall be “When Tyranny Becomes Law, Rebellion Becomes Duty” or “Ave SimDemocracy”. These phrases may be used interchangeably, with consideration as to whether a more official or more succinct phrase is necessary for the given application.
Article 3: Official Symbols
§1. The official symbols of SimDemocracy shall be used by the state to represent and portray the government and people of SimDemocracy.
- §1.1. The State of SimDemocracy is encouraged to utilize and celebrate the symbols wherever possible.
§2. The Painted Wolf (Lycaon Pictus) is recognized as the national animal of SimDemocracy.
§3. The Minecraft Rose Bush is recognized as the national flower of SimDemocracy.
§4. Eevee is recognized as the national pokemon of SimDemocracy.
§5. Ducks are hereby declared as the official animal of the Senate Clerk, Department of Justice Administration Office, Registrar(s) of the Inferior Courts, and Secretary/Secretaries of the Supreme Court.
§6. The National Gif of SimDemocracy shall be found (as a Tenor gif) at the following link: https://c.tenor.com/CalupU_5-DEAAAAC/tenor.gif - If a higher quality version can be found, that version shall be used instead, but the gif must be from the same scene of hit late 90’s show ‘Whose line is it anyway?’, where Ryan Stiles replies to Drew Carey’s prompt to improvise a scene with the core thesis of “Things to say that will always start a fight”, and the gif’s subtitles must read “You guys wanna start a fight?” even though this is a misquote.<ref name="gif">Spirit of SimDem Amendment 2026 passed by the Senate on 2 March 2026 and signed by the President on 4 March 2026</ref>

§1. The Official Symbols Act 2023 is hereby supplanted and abrogated in its entirety.
